The threat of certain injury probably helps. Going outside the dry line at race speed = hitting the tarmac.

It was a great race, too. Marquez switch to slicks was perfectly timed.

they were still on wet tires at this point, and were occasionally going offline to cool the tires down.
Then Marc Marquez and a few others switched to full slicks, which made passing those on intermediates/full rains tricky, but he wasmuch faster than those on inters/rain
